Game Duration: 15 Minutes

The Box & Components:

Googol is a card game. It comes in a compact box that is easy to carry. The box inlays keep the cards safe. In our opinion that the inlays could have grip grooves for the cards for easy accessibility to the cards.

The cards have simple graphics. The makers have not tried to include over-the-top elements to distract from the game itself. The cards are laminated and have rounded corners to avoid cuts.

The Gameplay of Googol:

Place the Number Cards, Target Cards and Math Wizard cards separately. Distribute the Number Cards amongst the players equally. The Youngest Player starts.

A Target Card is opened in the centre and the players open their number cards face up on the table. The players must achieve the target solution by using the face-up number cards. Each number card can be used only once and can be used with any of the four basic mathematical functions.

As soon as the solution is achieved by a player, he/she must tap the target card and keep it as his/her score after justifying the solution. A Player may win a Math Wizard Card when he/she uses 5 or more number cards for the target solutions.

The game ends when all target cards end. The players can then calculate the score at the top of the target cards and any math wizard cards won by them. The player with the highest points wins the game.

Reasons to Try Googol:

Googol means 10 raised to the power 100. Seems simple? Just imagine the actual value. Googol is a game just like that. Easy to explain but it is not so easy to score, especially seeing as the players are not playing individually.

The players will be scratching their heads to calculate the solution while each player continuously flips open new cards. The makers have two variations including short and long plays for the players so that at no point, they are bored of the game.

The entertainment sneaks up on you with this game. The players can use any basic mathematical operation which opens up wide possibilities. Googol is a great educational game but it can also be a great entertaining game for all ages.

HAPPY SHUFFLING!
