How to Play Monkey Memory

Monkey Memory is a flipping card memory game by Yes Papa Games. The aim is to earn points by recognizing the incomplete pair of the laid out cards.

I have said it before. The quality of the game is not to be questioned. The box is sturdy and the playing cards are given a cushioning for protection. The cards are beautifully designed with smooth lamination. 

How to Play Monkey Memory

Object Cards are displayed in a line. The identical set of Object Cards is shuffled, and one card is removed. Every player watches as the remaining cards are quickly turned over. Players then try to figure out which object was removed from the set and put their thumb over the picture of that object on the Solution Card in front of them. Points are received for each correct response, and the player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner!

Reasons to choose Monkey Memory

Monkey Memory takes more time to set up than the other card games by this publisher, we have tried till now. One of the players chooses 7 pairs out of 10 objects and lay down a card in between and hides an undisclosed pair. 

The rest of the 6 cards are flipped over in succession and the players guess the missing object from the reference cards. The player who guesses correctly wins a point. The setup is quite a hassle for an easy game. Especially because it has to be repeated at every turn.

We think that Monkey Memory is a game for the younger players and not for adults, more suited to be played when there is an external dealer. The game has multiplayability but there is a plateau to the higher age limit.
