The Box & Components:

Mikado sticks are wholly made of wood, the box included. The sticks have been made to be smooth and light with slightly rounded corners so the players’ fingers do not get injured while playing. The box is very compact and fits anywhere and is durable because of the wood.

The sticks have also been marked with different colors to signify the points scored by each player.

Gameplay of Mikado Sticks:

Hold the stack of sticks in one hand. The sticks should be levelled perpendicular to a flat surface. Open the fist to let the sticks falls in random across the surface and ensure that there is a level of overlap among the sticks. The players can then play in 2 ways:

Let a single player pick up the sticks one by one without disturbing any other within a particular time frame. The number of sticks can be the score.

All players pick up sticks in turns. If any player disturbs the sticks, he or she is eliminated and the table is reset for the remaining players.

Advanced play dictates a point system to be followed according to the colour markings on the sticks.

Reasons to Love The Game:

Mikado Sticks is a versatile game. One may play it individually or with groups. The players may choose to play according to score or the number of sticks collected or in turn or sudden death mode. Mikado sticks is an evergreen game that will remind players of their school days.
