Forest Run is a tactical and strategic board game by Tortue Games. It has been manufactured for India in collaboration with Majestic Games. It is a fun twist to the evergreen Snakes ‘n’ Ladders games and is fun to play for players of all ages.
The aim of the game is to be the first to cross the ‘forest’. The twist to the game is, the players can also control their opponents’ game in addition to their own making it a game of tug of war with use of ‘Spells’ and ‘Potions’.

The Box and its Components:
The company chose to go as environmentally-friendly as it could during the construction of the box of the game. It is a thick cardboard box with a magnetic lid. The components are all packed in cardboard boxes and except the dice and the playing pegs, there is no plastic to be found.
The game is designed to a jungle adventure and thus is heavily graphic with jungle elements like foliage and animals where the players only follow the yellow brick road.
The Game:
The game starts out simple enough. Roll the dice and move your pegs while following the cues on the landing block. The cues are the main attraction and uniqueness of the game.
There are also several resources that the players get throughout the game that help them win the game or their opponents lose the game. This makes the game more interesting with more players.
Final Words:
If you want the fun of Snakes ‘n’ Ladders with a twist, Forest Run is the game for you. It has many new elements that will surely attract players.
